JUST A DREAM
Written by Holly Lindin, copyright Aloe Records 2012
Shoulder to shoulder
We watch the Sun descend from the night
(Twinkle, twinkle, Stars - the Sun starts to die)
As it's growing colder
Your tears become the Stars in the Sky
Like Pollux and Castor
You become a God through our curious eyes
The shift is barreling faster
And the portals open; we're not surprised
CHORUS:
You leave
(Climb the mountains, cross the sea)
Scaling the horizon, you dream
(Kick up Stardust musically)
(We never noticed this)
Conceive
(Counter fire; forgive same)
Spinning all the comets, you dream
(Span the Universal plane)
My hands full of heartfuls
Appear the people I used to know
Wearing Light's clothing
But every organ - jars in a row
Gleaming on the dark side
Like glitterbugs and dragonflies, like a kiss
To think they've been beside us
All this time, and we never noticed
CHORUS
Warm willow cushions my feet
As I stare up into the Sky
Our journey is finally complete
And there is none happier than I
You strike the chords of the elements
The World collapses to infinity
